Marina
Description of Facilities The home port for some of the world’s most famous yachts, Bannister's Wharf is the most coveted deep water dock space located in the center of Newport Harbor. Bannister's Wharf is a 30-slip, deep-water marina with a 280 foot fixed pier as well as floating docks. The marina welcomes sail and power vessels, both large and small.
Facilities available at Bannister's Wharf include showers, 30-, 50-, and 100- amp electric hookup, water and all the help and information you need from friendly and competent staff. Our selection of waterfront guestrooms and historic suites can help accommodate any extra crew or out of town guests you may have joining you in Newport.
John Bannister established the Wharf in 1742 as a commercial and social lifeline for Colonial Newport. It has fulfilled that purpose through many manifestations, down to the present day. From Oliver Hazard Perry to Ted Turner and Dennis Conner, sea captains have looked to Bannister’s Wharf to fulfill their maritime and social requirements. Stores, boutiques, and galleries along the wharf will satisfy any shopping desire, and a visit to the much acclaimed Clarke Cooke House will provide you one of the best meals in town.
Marina Approach and Docking Bannister's Wharf Marina is a 30-slip, deep-water marina located at the wharf's end. It is located in the center of Newport Harbor.
